Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko, the Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai competitor from Peru and mixed martial artist competing for the UFC within the Flyweight Division. She is at present competing. Shevchenko is the elder sister of her former UFC Flyweight champion as well as fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She took the win via second-round TKO and then won the next two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003 to amass a record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing. She then was able to make her return in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa by a unanimous vote and the next day, she defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she quit the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's improved strike technique enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. Following this victory Antonina was able to sign an UFC contract. Antonina received the UFC contract after winning. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi with a split decision fight. She won the initial fight via unanimous decision. Antonina has recovered from her loss after defeating Lucie Pudilova during UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. She was awarded the fight-ofthe-night prize. Shevchenko went 1-2 over the next three fights, winning against Ariane Lipski before losing to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee.
